Dr Françoise Boucek, Put Le Pen and Macron to one side – it’s the June legislative elections that will decide how France is governed

Dr Françoise Boucek writes for the LSE EUROPP blog about the upcoming first round of French presidential elections and the uncertainty among voters; 43 per cent of French voters say they are still undecided over who to vote for, according to a survey by Odoxa. Dr Boucek explains: “Whoever wins the presidency needs parliament to get things done. And, even then, history has shown that the street is often the final arbiter of policy change.”
