Professor Phillip Cowley writes for The Telegraph about the current general elections: “While there are often complaints about elections being dull, one reason this campaign has felt so long is that it has been so long. Elections used to take place about a month after being called. If we still stuck to that timescale, this one would by now have been over for almost three weeks.”
