The School of Politics and International Relations currently has twenty-four full-time members of teaching staff. Professor Montserrat Guibernau is currently Visiting Professor at the Centre for Global Governance at LSE and will be Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge from January 2011 and Dr Lasse Thomassen is a Garcia Pelayo Fellow at Centro de Estudios Politicos y Constitucionales in Madrid. Previously one member of staff has been on secondment as Director of the Institute for Latin American Studies and another as Research Director at the Cabinet Office.
We also have several excellent PhD students who contribute to seminar teaching. Our fairly modest size allows us to maintain friendly and relatively informal relations with students and enables us to teach in small seminar groups. Staff members include several distinguished scholars.
