Global Zero Queen Mary Screening

14 November 2012

Time: 6:30pm
Venue: The Hitchcock Theatre, Arts 1 G.19

Please come along to Global Zero QMUL’s screening of the documentary Countdown to Zero, in the Alfred Hitchcock Theatre in the Arts building. It will be held on the 14th of November at 6.30pm. Please note seating is very limited, and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so make sure to get there early and meet the Global Zero QMUL team!

Countdown to Zero is a chilling documentary film on the current global nuclear threat. It was produced by Global Zero in partnership with our signatory Lawrence Bender, award-winning producer of An Inconvenient Truth, all Quentin Tarantino's movies, and various other titles.

The film traces the history of the atomic bomb from its origins to the present state of affairs: nine nations possessing nuclear weapons capabilities with others racing to join them, with the world held in a delicate balance that could be shattered by an act of terrorism, failed diplomacy, or a simple accident. It features an array of international statesmen, including Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, Pervez Musharraf and Tony Blair.
