Raymond Kuhn has a strong research interest in the related fields of media policy and political communication, including the policy-making process, news management, political journalism, and globalisation and the media.

Catherine Needham works on political marketing and communications in the UK, focusing on political parties and government. She has incorporated concepts such as relationship marketing and policy transfer into the study of political communications, and applied them to comparative studies of the UK and USA.
