Migration

The department works closely with the Centre for the Study of Migration, and offers the MSc in Migration. through them.  Dr Anne Kershen is the Centre's Deputy Directory and her research interests are in the history of migration into London, with particular emphasis on the Spitalfields district. She is currently carrying out a comparative study of eastern European immigrants in England and the Cape Town area of South Africa. Dr. Kershen has acted as a consultant to the BBC and ITV and the National Archives Moving Here Gallery. The Centre for the Study of Migration has links with academics working in the field of migration and with other similar centres nationally and internationally.
