This module will introduce you to the practice as well as the study of Politics and International Relations. You’ll begin by exploring your own experiences and interests in the subject and then analyse how that understanding is refined through intellectual study and the development of academic skills. You will also investigate how the study of politics relates to the practice of politics, while you become engaged with politics as part of your study through site visits, independent field work, participatory activities and multimedia engagement.

This module is compulsory for all single honours, L240 and L2NF students.

Assessment: Short essay (25%), group presentation (10%), presentation report (15%), portfolio (50%) - TBC
