As war in Syria ‘bleeds’ into Lebanon, Dr Phillips explains that Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati's government is a firm but quiet supporter of the Assad regime in Syria, but its priorities lie in keeping Lebanon from getting involved in the conflict. Dr Phillips also talked to CNN about the position of militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon and the group's reliance on Assad to ensure that the group's supply line to Iran, its main benefactor, remains open.
