Professor Philip Cowley, Mayor Sadiq Khan’s popularity slips as Londoners think services are getting worse

Sadiq Khan's popularity as Mayor of London has slipped as he approaches his second anniversary at City Hall, amid evidence that Londoners think some essential services in the capital are getting worse. Just over half of voters, 52 per cent, think Mr Khan is doing well as Mayor, compared with 30 per cent who say he is doing badly, a new poll finds today. However, the YouGov study commissioned by Queen Mary University of London represents a distinct cooling among some voters.
